Judging Criteria

• Usefulness - The app should address a need of either users or the ecosystem, be it entertainment, social, utility, or anything else you can think of.
  • Core Use Case/Functionality - We recommend that you focus your apps on one core functionality, and then use features from other apps or the core APIs for auxiliary features. An important benefit of the required SDK integration is that apps can focus on their core functionalities.

• Integration of Pi - We look for a great and innovative design of app logic that involves the use of Pi cryptocurrency. 
  • Pi can be used as a payment solution, work compensation, competition rewards, online experience moderation and content curation disincentives/incentives.

• User Experience - Accessibility is a core Pi value. To achieve an accessible blockchain, the Pi Core Team wants apps to be accessible and user-friendly as well.
  • The app design should be presented in a clear and logical manner, so the user experience is pleasant.
  • It is optimized for mobile device use.

• Technical Aptitude
  • The core use case is functional, and free of any major bugs (e.g. transaction failure) that prevent use.
  • Minor bugs are acceptable if they don't affect usability or security.

• Data - We value users’ privacy. Data collection must only occur if it is important for the app’s core functionality.
  • The app only collects user data needed to execute its core functionality and does it at the point of necessity in compliance with Pi Network Developer Terms and guidelines. 
  • Pi Network-provided APIs are designed to provide a seamless user experience across apps in the ecosystem without users having to manually enter data in different apps.
